Welcome to AGoodBLT!
After five years on Substack, we’re moving to the next spot on the bar crawl: Blogger. It’s an oldie, more popular back in the ’90s, but we all know Schlubs love a dive bar.
So! We’re moving over to Blogger with my new blog, AGoodBLT. A special thank you to Bekah for the beautiful logo : )
Why the move? Mostly customization! I wanted a space to better collect and organize my work, rather than the simple chronological list that Substack provides. Plus, this gives me a chance to highlight art and writing not related to Schlub Cinema.
Is Schlub Cinema going anywhere? Nope! I’m currently working on SCHLUB CINEMA: ISSUE #2, with hopes of releasing it this fall. And as always, I’ll be uploading solo Schlub Cinema pieces as inspiration strikes.
What’s new? Quite a bit! Since last year’s trip to Under the Dice Fest, I’ve ventured further into the hobby of kitbashing and painting miniatures. I’ve also been experimenting more with collaging and honing my style following SCHLUB CINEMA: ISSUE #1. Finally, I’m hoping to explore a larger narrative project with The Living Lakes. This blog will be a place for all these endeavors, outside the nastiness of Instagram.
Is the Instagram account going anywhere? Nope again! I’ll be changing the handle to @AGoodBLT.Blog to encompass the whole blog, but it’ll largely stay the same.
What about the old Substack and emails? I’ll be keeping the old Substack as an archive of the last five years of work. As for emails, if you’ve subscribed to Schlub Cinema emails in the past, you’ll be added to the new list going forward. No hard feelings if you want to hop off the train!
What's with the BLT? It's my favorite sandwich.
Lastly, thank you all for continuing to read and engage with my work. It hit me earlier this month that I’ve been working on this project for five years, and your readership isn’t lost on me. New or old, I’m always beyond appreciative ❤️ I’m really excited to see where we go this year, whether that’s more art, handmade gaming boards, or just some good old-fashioned Schlub Cinema.
xoxo, Gray
